My wife and I booked a cruise back in April and, shortly thereafter, booked flights on Delta in order to get to Los Angeles to get on the cruise. Delta failed in every single aspect. Below is the body of the letter this is going to Delta in an effort to try to get something back out of the $1036 we spent trying to catch up to our cruise.

On Sunday, October 11 my wife and I were scheduled to fly out of Bishop International Airport on a flight to Los Angeles, CA, where we would participate in our first cruise. We have been confirmed on the following flights since April 18, 2009:
Delta flight 6427 to Atlanta (Scheduled to depart at 5:35 a.m. and to arrive in Atlanta at 7:38 a.m.)
Delta flight 2801 to Los Angeles (Scheduled to depart at 8:29 a.m. and to arrive at 10:20 a.m.)
Were we to have arrived on time, we would have a window of almost 6 hours to make it to our 7-day Mexico cruise.

A few days ago I posted the text of a letter that I wrote to The French Laundry. I won’t continue berating them because I know I accomplished that all too well in the letter I posted on September 5. Below is the response I received from the owner of the French Laundry. I look at this letter in a couple different ways. The first is, *Hey*, he actually wrote back, which I didn’t expect. It’s true that he didn’t try to excuse or defend the experience I had that day, but at the same time I’ve not heard of any improvement since my last visit. It’s very well written (albeit in one single paragraph), but he did address most of my issues and I respect that he wrote back.

On New Year’s Eve, 2005 my wife, kids, and a number of family members were gathering at The French Laundry in Fenton, Michigan. The experience was, to this day, the worst restaurant service I have ever had. Below is a letter that I wrote to The French Laundry, in its entirety. I shall soon scan and post the response I received.
Why do I post this now?
Simple: I hate that place and have to drive by it on a regular basis.
Please Note: This is a recounting of a single experience and is not meant to be representative of the service experience that is standard at The French Laundry. Many people speak highly of this eatery, but I’ve never had that kind of an experience there.
To The Manger/Proprietor/Owner,
