My wife and I booked a cruise back in April and, shortly thereafter, booked flights on Delta in order to get to Los Angeles to get on the cruise. Delta failed in every single aspect. Below is the body of the letter this is going to Delta in an effort to try to get something back out of the $1036 we spent trying to catch up to our cruise.

On Sunday, October 11 my wife and I were scheduled to fly out of Bishop International Airport on a flight to Los Angeles, CA, where we would participate in our first cruise. We have been confirmed on the following flights since April 18, 2009:
Delta flight 6427 to Atlanta (Scheduled to depart at 5:35 a.m. and to arrive in Atlanta at 7:38 a.m.)
Delta flight 2801 to Los Angeles (Scheduled to depart at 8:29 a.m. and to arrive at 10:20 a.m.)
Were we to have arrived on time, we would have a window of almost 6 hours to make it to our 7-day Mexico cruise.
Zipster08 has long been one of my favorite YouTube personalities. He’s intelligent, passionate, funny, and insightful. He’s also very genuine. You’ll see what I mean in this video.
The Genesee County Friend of the Court (FOC) is a strange entity. Not specifically Genesee County, but I base this entry on the fact that they’re the only FOC I’ve ever had dealings with. I have heard, however, horror stories related to The Friend of the Court from many individuals. It’s easy to deduce that a) my problems with the FOC were trivial compared to others and b) the mentality of the FOC is, in general, misguided and off-course, and borders on being a bully.
First off, why are they called the Friend of the court? It should be called “Friend of the Custodial Parent”, because I’m not aware of any Non-Custodial Parent (NCP) who considers them a “friend”. In fact, and without using extremely colorful language, they’re a pain in the ass. Then again, anyone who routinely takes money away from you before you see it can be considered a pain in the ass. (By any chance is the IRS reading this?)
As you are probably aware, Elisabeth Shue took the roll of Jennifer (Claudia Wells) on “Back to the Future” in the second and third installments of the series. Because of this they had to re-shoot the ending of the first movie with Shue in the Jennifer role, since the last scene is replayed at the beginning of the second film. Here is a side-by-side (but on top and bottom) comparison of both scenes.
There’s an old adage that says “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. It was drilled into my head as a child and teenager. Not to mention that it’s never, ever cool to criticize something that’s based on a personal preference, i.e. tattoos, piercings, hairstyles, clothing, music, etc.
For example, I recently posted a photo of my new tattoo on my Facebook page. Most of the comments regarding the image were complimentary, as Tami Jo did an absolutely fantastic job of replicating the source image that I gave her.
It was ten years ago today that my mom passed away.
My Mom
Since I find it hard to say anything I shall simply post what I wrote on a very early version of my website about 9 years ago.
Another sadness that has struck my family is that on June 2, 1999, 14 days from what would have been her 55th birthday, my Mother died. This was a tremendous, sudden blow to our Family, and a change that I’ll never be able to fully get over. She was different than most mothers, and was more than just a mother, but a friend to many, many people, especially to me. There are things that happen to me daily that remind me of her and that I would love to bring to her attention, but forever, now, they will live inside of me, waiting for the day when I can see her again. Now, over a year after her death, I still find myself thinking about her every day. It hasn’t really gotten any easier, and my heart hurts when I think of her.
Situation: Someone asks for you opinion regarding a certain thing.
Action: You give them your opinion, thinking it may spark a conversation or lead to an exchange of information.
Reaction: The person who solicits the opinion then informs you that your opinion is wrong and cites evidence in support of their opinion.
Result: The questioner negates your opinion, reducing it to rubble.

Why ask someone a question that is so subjective, only to try to knock it down? It’s very inconsiderate and rude to solicit personal/preferential information from someone and to then disregard it and, instead, try to supplant it with what you already had in your mind.
It’s like telling someone that their favorite color is wrong.
Next time don’t even bother asking, since the answer is already in your head anyway…
